Your Life as Myth

"Your Life as Myth"

Afternoon Workshop at 1pm

Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell encourage us to know ourselves through our stories -- the ones we tell and the ones we love. In his life work, Carl Jung developed many insights about myths (stories) and archetypes (unconscious symbols that we all share, such as, healer, magician, storyteller, trickster, etc). He discovered that the task of all life tasks was figuring out what is the life story or myth that we are living out. Jung dedicated the rest of his life to finding the myth he was living out.

In this workshop, we will be journaling to create a greater understanding of our personal life story and gradually move it into the mythic realm. It is in this realm of awareness we will recognize how we are embodying our own myth and come back to the group to share our wisdom with the collective.

In preparation for this workshop, you may wish to read up on Jungian myths and archetypes and the Hero’s journey by Joseph Campbell. Let your mind be free! Indulge your imagination!
